This is an interactive session providing a quick start guide to setting up your own Limited company to develop software products.

March 2006 - RapidDB now on SourceForge

The RapidDB system is now available on SourceForge, one of the largest open source community sites. You can find the project at http://www.sourceforge.net/projects/rapiddb complete with source code repository and file downloads.

October 2005 - Free developer event 22 October 2005

Join Liam Westley at the second DeveloperDeveloperDeveloper! day on 22 October 2005. His topic will be a quick guide to running the SubVersion version control system under Windows and VS.NET 2003. September 2005 - RapidDB is now an open source project

Tiger Computer Services Ltd has formally announced that the RapidDB system used to accelerate multi database software development will be made an open source project.

Liam Westley from Tiger Computer Services Ltd said, 'Giving developers full access to all source code, for both the desktop and compact framework versions, will help speed development of the system and provide a larger user base who can feedback into future versions.'

January 2005 - chellomedia select Tiger Computer Services Ltd

chellomedia (part of UPC Europe) have selected Tiger Computer Services to aid them with a broadcast video project, combining control and display of multiple video source co-ordinated with broadcast video graphics, on a project due to launch Q2 2005.

November 2004 - QVC UK sign up for Niagara SMS

A three month pilot of the Niagara SMS moderation system at QVC UK has now been successfully completed. QVC UK have decided to make the Niagara moderation system an integral production tool for the moderation of SMS text to TV messages from viewers direct to screen. Bengal RapidDB system, used internally for products such as the Niagara moderation system, is now available to clients of Tiger Computer Services Ltd.

Create and access databases for the following systems; SQL Server 2000, Access MDB, MySql, IBM DB2 and SQL Server CE.

RapidDB creates the database from a simple XML schema definition (no SQL scripts required), and includes automated code generation of the database access classes for C# or VB.NET (including .NET Compact Framework).

A single auto generated class is compatible with all of the supported database formats, and includes Xml serialization and deserialization for use in web server state management and SOAP web services.

Niagara moderation system now supports DB2 database server as back end data store.

Visit the http://www.dnug.org.uk to details on how to attend.  The presentation, 'Using interfaces to simplify accessing multiple DB providers in .NET', will include solutions for transparently accessing SQL Server 2000, SQL Server CE 2.0 and Microsoft Access databases.
